OSV Group was engaged by Hutchinson Builders to deliver the complete civil and landscape package for Stage 2 of Greenvale Secondary College. The scope included the construction of new recreational spaces, carpark works, and extensive landscaping to improve the functionality and aesthetics of the school’s outdoor areas.
The carpark works involved the construction of vehicle asphalt pavement, installation of barrier kerbs, edge strips, pram crossings with tactiles, bollards, and ag drains, along with full linemarking works that included the removal of existing basketball court markings.
The oval development included site cultivation, spreading of site-worn soil, application of gypsum and fertiliser, placement of topsoil, and installation of a drainage layer above ag pipes. A comprehensive subsoil drainage system was installed, followed by hydroseeding using a blend of rye/fescue and kikuyu seed to establish a resilient playing surface.
The sports court package included pedestrian asphalt hard courts for basketball, tennis, volleyball, and netball, complemented by spoon drains, concrete edging, and Four Square court markings.
Hard landscape works included additional vehicle and pedestrian asphalt pavements, construction of a vehicle crossover in accordance with Hume City Council specifications, concrete edging throughout the site including between Stage 1 and 2, and installation of a timber deck for passive use.
This project demonstrates OSV Group’s capacity to deliver large-scale educational civil and landscape works to a high standard, meeting both the builder’s requirements and council guidelines.
