Formerly known as Thompsons West Primary School during planning and design, Mirniyan Primary School carries a name drawn from Bunurong language, meaning moon.
OSVgroup was engaged by Hutchinson Builders to deliver key outdoor infrastructure works for this new school, creating high-quality, functional spaces to support learning, play and community connection
Our involvement spanned sportsfield construction, hardcourts and civil landscaping, ensuring the school grounds were ready to meet the needs of students, staff and the wider school community.
Scope of Works
OSVgroup delivered a comprehensive external works package across the school site, including:
- Construction of a natural turf sportsfield
- Construction of hardcourts to support a range of school sports and activities
- Soft landscaping works including turfing, planting and garden bed establishment
- Play space and playground landscaping to support active and imaginative play
All works were delivered in line with education sector standards, with a strong focus on durability, safety and long-term performance.

Lasting Impact
Following construction, OSVgroup completed a 12-month maintenance program, ensuring all turf, landscaping and irrigation systems were properly established and performing as intended. This ongoing care helped deliver a resilient, welcoming outdoor environment that will serve Mirniyan Primary School for years to come.
The completed grounds provide students with high-quality spaces to learn, play and grow, supporting healthy activity and strong community connection from the school’s very first day.
