Once a well-loved but aging community space, the Whittlesea Public Gardens has been transformed into a vibrant destination for recreation, relaxation and connection. OSVgroup worked with the City of Whittlesea to deliver a full redevelopment that balances active play zones with inviting green spaces - creating a welcoming hub for the growing Lalor community.
Scope of Works
OSVgroup proudly delivered the redevelopment of the Whittlesea Public Gardens - a major transformation of one of Lalor’s most popular recreational hubs. Working closely with the City of Whittlesea, our team was responsible for complete site preparation, drainage works, concrete and hardscape construction and the installation of all park and street furniture.
This project aimed to revitalise the Gardens to better meet the needs of the growing and diverse local community, creating modern, inclusive spaces for active play, leisure and social connection.

The redevelopment introduced a wide range of new facilities, including:
- A 100-metre-long district-level skate park
 - Boulder and climbing wall
 - Two 3-on-3 basketball courts with a hit-up wall and multi-purpose markings

 - Large picnic shelters with double hotplate barbecues
