Moubray Street Community Park Upgrade

A successful pop-up park has been transformed into a permanent community asset. Delivered in partnership with the Victorian Government’s Local Parks Program, the new Moubray Street Community Park sits beside Albert Park Primary School and provides a welcoming, multi-use green space for the neighbourhood.

Scope of Works

OSV Group removed redundant roadway sections and outdated surfaces to open up the site. Works included construction of accessible pathways, new park fencing, installation of high-quality furniture (benches, picnic tables and a sheltered seating area) and the creation of communal garden beds. Civil and landscape works were coordinated to form a cohesive public realm that now functions as a permanent park.

Cross Keys Reserve Upgrade, Moonee Valley

OSVgroup proudly delivered the transformation of Cross Keys Reserve, creating a safer, more accessible and vibrant public space that enhances connectivity, recreation and landscape amenity for the Essendon community.

Scope of Works

Our team completed a broad package of civil and landscape works to upgrade the reserve. This included construction of concrete footpaths, shared user paths, compacted gravel trails and exposed aggregate feature paving. Drainage infrastructure was improved with new stormwater pits and pipe installations, while linemarking, signage and pram crossings ensured compliance and accessibility.

Additional works involved asphalt bicycle paths, trafficable pavements and the installation of commercial vehicle crossings. The project was delivered with cultural heritage compliance and full as-built documentation.

  • Recreational amenities: revitalised playspace with recycled rubber surfacing, softfall mulch and an in-ground trampoline mound

Whittlesea Public Gardens Urban and Skate Park

Once a well-loved but aging community space, the Whittlesea Public Gardens has been transformed into a vibrant destination for recreation, relaxation and connection. OSVgroup worked with the City of Whittlesea to deliver a full redevelopment that balances active play zones with inviting green spaces - creating a welcoming hub for the growing Lalor community.

Scope of Works

OSVgroup proudly delivered the redevelopment of the Whittlesea Public Gardens - a major transformation of one of Lalor’s most popular recreational hubs. Working closely with the City of Whittlesea, our team was responsible for complete site preparation, drainage works, concrete and hardscape construction and the installation of all park and street furniture.

This project aimed to revitalise the Gardens to better meet the needs of the growing and diverse local community, creating modern, inclusive spaces for active play, leisure and social connection.

Key Features

The redevelopment introduced a wide range of new facilities, including:

  • A 100-metre-long district-level skate park
  • Boulder and climbing wall
  • Two 3-on-3 basketball courts with a hit-up wall and multi-purpose markings
  • Grassed kick-about area with soccer goals
  • Large picnic shelters with double hotplate barbecues
  • Comfortable seating with benches, backed seats, and armrests
  • Drinking fountains, bike hoops, and public bins
  • New car park and upgraded lighting along key pedestrian and cycling paths

Each feature was designed and constructed with quality, accessibility and durability in mind - ensuring the space could be enjoyed safely by people of all ages and abilities.

Healey Park – Park and Playground Renewal

OSVgroup partnered with the City of Whittlesea to renew and revitalise Healey Park in Epping - transforming the local park into a vibrant and functional community space. The renewal focused on creating a safe, accessible and engaging environment that encourages outdoor activity, social connection and play for all ages.

Scope of Works

Our team delivered a full park and playground upgrade, incorporating both hard and soft landscaping elements. Works included:

  • Drainage installation and concrete paving
  • Construction of a full-size basketball court
  • Installation of fencing, shelters and custom park furniture
  • Installation of council-supplied playground equipment

To complete the project, OSVgroup carried out natural landscaping works including boulder and timber features, garden beds, softfall surfacing, turfing and planting, followed by a 13-week horticultural maintenance period to ensure successful establishment.

OSVgroup partnered with Hutchinson Builders to deliver the complete civil and landscape package for Stage 2 of Clyde Secondary College. The project focused on the construction of new outdoor facilities, including a high-quality sports oval, hardcourts and landscaped areas, enhancing the school’s functionality and creating dynamic spaces for learning, recreation and community use.

Scope of Works

The scope centred on the full construction of the new sports oval and associated civil and landscape works. OSVgroup’s responsibilities included earthworks, drainage, turf establishment, irrigation installation, and the development of surrounding pedestrian and recreation areas. The works were carried out with precision to meet strict design specifications and performance standards.

  • Detailed site cultivation and soil reconditioning using gypsum and NPK fertiliser
  • Placement and regrading of on-site and stockpiled topsoil to specified depths
  • Installation of a 100mm drainage layer above agricultural pipe runs, topped with 75mm of high-quality topsoil
  • Hydroseeding using a tailored rye, fescue and kikuyu mix for durable, year-round turf coverage
  • Comprehensive subsoil drainage system with slotted ag drains and filter-wrapped pipes
  • Pedestrian asphalt hardcourts for basketball, tennis, volleyball and netball
  • Installation of concrete spoon drains and edging for efficient surface water management
  • Construction of concrete pavements in plain, exposed aggregate and coloured finishes
  • Installation of asphalt pavements, ramps, retaining boulders and custom timber seating
  • Large-scale soft landscaping including hydromulching, mulched garden beds and tree and shrub planting
  • Fully integrated irrigation system providing 100% coverage of the sports field, with temporary irrigation for establishment zones
  • Installation of goal posts, sports equipment, site furniture, concrete stairs, handrails and footpaths
